  2.  To create interest to protect and preserve the ancient culture heritage
  3.  To create awareness about the national integration, patriotism and humanism
  4.  To understand the excavation, research of our historical background
  5.  To create awareness about international relations among the students

Department came in to existence in 1954 with 09 students. Sri Yakkundi was the first faculty of the department

Design of Curriculum

  1. The curriculum for BA course is designed by the Gulbarga university / Raichur university
  2. We follow the syllabus prescribed by the university
  3. However one of our faculty members served as member of BOS and BOAE suggested some changes in the syllabus and also the committee approved diploma in tourism course ( COP)
