Aim of physical Education :-

                                      Physical education is an integral part of total Educational  process and aims at the development  of physically  mentally   evolutionally and socially fit citizen through the medium of physical activities which have been selected with a view to realizing these outcomes.

Object of Physical Education and Training

                                It is going to help in improving and maintaining health in body and mind .The condition  of modern  civilization ,crowded localities ,sedentary occupation ,increase  of study and mental work restricted opportunities for natural physical growth make young men and women to receive  physical training .they be encouraged to devote special attention to maintain sound helth.

Physical education  in our college

                           By realising the importance of the  physical education our management have started department of physical education since the inception of the college ,between 1954and 1961 the department was looked after by part time teacher as additional charge .

    In 1961 the college management appointed  shri. K Tippanagowda a qualified physical educationist as the physical director .during his tenure the college developed all the sports facilities and the required infrastructures and started showing marvelous results in sports competitions he served up to 1988 and is leading a happy retired life shri.  U shamsundar worked from 1988 to 1994 .   sri Dr LS Biradar 1994 to 2013 sri Ranganath 2013 TO 2018 sri Dhananjeaya 2018to 2021 sri Dr Tayamma   2021  to 03  October 2023   .the present physical education director shri .sampath angadi v   took charge in October 03/10/2023 and has been making continuous efforts to bring all-round development of the student in sports activities our college is one of the very famous colleges in the field of physical education in the entire Hyderabad Karnataka area our  college has made remarkable achievements  in sports and games,  winning a number of trophies, championships and tournaments during all these years. further over the years, the college has produced a  a number of university  totall 243  and state and national level sports personalities

During the lost 5  yers  2018 to 2024   college  got 47 university  blues and

The college has organized  a large number of zonal inter zonal and single zone tournaments and university selection trials for men and women in various games and sports   The  Raichur university  Raichur collaboration with lvd college organized  karate and cricket university team selection trail   and intercollegiate at lvd college the year of 2023/24
