BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT COLLEGE

 

The college was started in the year 1954 to provide education and to empower the women.

 

Since beginning sociology was chosen as one of the main subject in Arts stream.

To provide quality oriented teaching that may bring out the potentiality of the student and to promote social awareness through quality education, there by foster sustainable development and inclusive growth in a healthy & ethical society.

DEPARTMENT MISSION

To create social awareness and social responsibility among students which help them to become the responsible citizens of the society.

 

To make the students to understand social concept, traditions, institutions, customs and culture etc.

 

To help the students to analyze the social problems and develop the capacity to tackle them

Advanced learners & Slow Learners.

Advanced learners and slow learners are identified based on the academic performance in University Examination of previous semester and internal examinations.

Several steps are initiated by the department to bridge the knowledge gap of the enrolled students.

Following Special activities are conducted for Advanced Learners:

  1. Guiding for career planning.
  2. Discussion or seminar on the advanced topics.
  3. Guiding the students for Competitive Examinations.
  4. Encouraging participating in various symposiums like quiz, poster presentation, Conferences, inter college competition etc.
